Blue Hour

Blue is the hue for me.

There’s something unconsciously calming about the color blue when things are chaotic. Especially in these past two years when everything around seemed to turn sideways and backwards; a certain tranquility was much needed.

When I graduated from art school I was the hue of pinks, nudes, and neutrals for my brand identity. Looking back these colors felt like the innocence and aspirations of someone going into the unknown world. They didn’t spend much time in self-reflection as they were pushing the gas to accelerate. As I went on in my design career, my affinity changed. It became blue. To me, blue is serenity, assurance, coolness, unassuming, yet lively and hopeful. I began to see it everywhere I looked and that’s when I knew that color represented me in this current state of mind.
